About
A small, honest set of word tools.
Word Games HQ is a toolbox for players of Scrabble-style games, Wordle and the daily newspaper Jumble: an unscrambler, a Wordle solver, finders for Scrabble and Words With Friends, an anagram and Jumble solver, and a complete two-letter word list.
Where the words come from
Every tool on this site searches the same list: the ENABLE word list (the Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon), a public English word list of 172,823 words, fetched from a public mirror of the lexicon. The list is downloaded to your browser as a plain text file and all searching happens locally on your device. ENABLE has been a standard reference lexicon for word-game software for decades. It is not identical to any single game's official dictionary: tournament Scrabble lists and the Words With Friends in-game dictionary each add and remove a small number of words on their own schedules, and the pages here say so wherever it matters. Treat results as an extremely close reference, not an official ruling.
How the tools work
There is no server-side magic and no AI. Each solver compares the letters you type against the word list using letter counts, applies the filters you set, and scores survivors with the standard tile values (1 point for A E I O U L N S T R up to 10 for Q and Z; blank tiles score 0 for the letter they replace). The Wordle solver narrows five-letter words using green, yellow and gray positional clues. Everything runs in the page, which is why the tools work instantly and keep working on a train with no signal once loaded.
What this site is not
Word Games HQ is not affiliated with Hasbro, Mattel, Zynga, the New York Times or any tournament body, and it does not publish daily puzzle answers — the solvers compute possibilities from your input only. Game names mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe what the tools help with.
Word Games HQ is built and maintained by ORBITFRAME. Found a word the list gets wrong, or a tool that misbehaves? That kind of report genuinely helps — the list and the filters get better because of them.
